About the site
If you haven't already read my first post, it gives a pretty good indication of what my blog is about as well as some insight as to where my love of video games began.
Game review scoring system (1-100)
Overall the scoring should be pretty self-explanatory but to make it official here it is...
1-50: Due to me being, well... just me and not having the time to play anywhere near the number of games I would ideally like to, I'm going to generally play and review games that I believe I'm going to enjoy. That being said, if a game I do decide to purchase, play and review ends up in this category, not only will it be hazardous to your wallet but it could also do serious damage to your physical well-being.
51-60: While it wasn't a complete waste of time like the previous scoring range, a game that falls into this category likely did not live up to its expectations for a number of reasons.
61-70: Sometimes games in this range were well on their way to a perfect score until I just came across something that really took it off course.
71-80: Beginning to end we have a relatively polished and enjoyable game. Though it certainly could have been better in areas.
81-90: Undoubtedly an impressive display of craftsmanship, this game and I only had a few disagreements that held it back from the top tier.
91-100: It doesn't get any better than this, the best of the best provide us with a thoroughly epic gaming experience. They show us an idea that was perfectly portrayed through each stage of development, all the way up to the final product.
Disclaimer
1.While the primary purpose of this site is to be used as a resource, keep in mind that my reviews are my reviews, and just because I thought a game was so-so doesn't mean that you won't love it and end up playing it every day for the rest of your life. The same holds true for the other way around, just because I think a game is awesome doesn't necessarily mean that you will too (I know it's unlikely, but it's possible).
2. I'm not an expert when it comes to video games, nor will I ever claim to be one. I'm merely an enthusiast sharing his personal experiences and opinions for the benefit of society.
3. I'm also not a professional writer, although sometimes I wish that I were because that would be pretty cool.
4. If you're wondering why I have a disclaimer on my blog then you and I are in the same boat.
5. If you're actually still reading this then you, my friend, are awesome.
Here is some fine print. I think that it is something that can accompany a disclaimer so here is some more. Oh, and here, have some asterisks ****. The world of warcraft is not real. Peanut butter is delicious. Asia is not a country. I am not of Asian descent, not that it would be a bad thing if I were. More to come the next time I'm trying to avoid doing anything productive whatsoever.
